Learning With Badges

During this unique time in our history, Living Sky School Division wants to highlight and recognize that learning can take place everywhere! For this reason, we are introducing a series of badges to be awarded for learning that students are doing at home.

Teachers or parents/caregivers can nominate a student for one of these digital badges by emailing badges@lskysd.ca and providing the student’s name, school and a summary of the learning that resulted in a badge nomination. While there is flexibility, we recommend that to qualify, learning would have occurred over a series of at least 3-5 days. It could be land-based learning, online learning or centred around other home-based activities such as those highlighted in these pages.

Students may earn more than one badge between now June 30, 2020. Once awarded a digital badge, a student can login to www.badgr.com (using their Living Sky username and password) and view their growing collection in their own personal digital backpack!

The learning is on! It’s happening everywhere! Let’s celebrate!
